10th Class Pairing Scheme 2026 — BISE Abbottabad Board

Published September 27, 2026

Matric SSC Part-II · which questions come from which chapters

The pairing scheme (or paper scheme) is the single most useful document for a Matric student. It tells you exactly which long questions and short questions in the board paper come from which chapters — so you stop studying everything equally and start preparing what actually comes in the exam.

Note: the board issues a fresh scheme each session. Below is how the scheme works and what it means for every subject. For the exact 2026 Abbottabad Board scheme with chapter-wise mapping, message us on WhatsApp — it’s free.

How the Scheme Looks Per Subject

  • Physics — 75 total, 15 practical

Numerical-heavy chapters carry the long questions. Practise MCQs from all chapters but target long answers from the top-weighted chapters in the scheme.

  • Chemistry — 75 total, 15 practical

Short questions are sprinkled across every chapter; long questions repeat from high-weight chapters. Equations and balanced reactions score easy marks.

  • Mathematics — 75 total

Long questions are paired to specific chapters — the classic 8-mark derivations and word problems. Solve at least 5 years of past papers in scheme order.

  • Biology — 75 total, 15 practical

Long questions usually pair two chapters (e.g. heredity + genetics). Diagrams and labelling carry separate marks — never skip them.

  • English & Urdu — 75 each total

Sections are fixed: MCQs, comprehension/translation, and composition (essay/letter). Weight the essay and letter practice heavily — they carry the most marks.

Example — how a pairing scheme row reads

A sample scheme line for Maths looks like: “Q-5: Chapter 3 variations; Q-6: Chapter 7 introduction to trigonometry; Q-7: Chapter 1(1.2, 1.4)”. The moment you see it, you know to invest your long-answer time in chapters 1, 3 and 7 before anything else. Short-answer chapters still need reading, but with far less depth.

How to Prepare With the 2026 Pairing Scheme

  • Step 1 — Rank your chapters: list chapters by long-question weight from the scheme.
  • Step 2 — Master the top 3: perfect 8-mark answers, derivations and word problems for high-weight chapters first.
  • Step 3 — Cover short-only chapters lightly: read them and practise the 2-3 most repeated short questions.
  • Step 4 — Solve past papers in scheme order: 3-5 years of BISE Abbottabad papers under exam timing.
  • Step 5 — MCQs daily: the MCQ paper has no pairing — it draws from everywhere, so practise 15-20 MCQs per subject daily.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the 10th class pairing scheme 2026?

The pairing scheme (paper scheme) tells you which long questions and short questions in a Board paper come from which chapters. It is compiled by BISE Abbottabad so students know the exact chapter-to-question mapping, instead of guessing which chapters to read.

Where can I download the 10th class pairing scheme PDF?

The official scheme is issued by BISE Abbottabad for each session. We keep the latest 2026 scheme and model papers in our collection — message us on WhatsApp and we will send the free PDFs plus 5 years of solved past papers within minutes.

How do I use the pairing scheme to prepare for Matric exams?

Start from the chapters that carry the most long-question marks, then cover the 'short-question only' chapters with the top 3-4 likely short questions each. Finish with 3-5 years of past papers in the exact scheme so you practice the real weighting.

Is the pairing scheme the same for every KPK board?

Mostly similar, but BISE Abbottabad, Peshawar, Swat and other KPK boards issue their own yearly schemes. Always study the scheme for the board you are registered with. We can send the Abbottabad Board scheme directly.

Does RA Academy teach class 10 with scheme practice?

Yes. RA Academy teaches class 10th (Matric) for BISE Abbottabad and all KPK boards, plus FBISE. Every subject is Rs 1,500 per month, Rs 1,200 per subject on 2+ subjects, or Rs 7,000 for all subjects — with pairing-scheme practice built into the classes.
